“All’s well that ends well” was exemplified by the National Chorale of Jamaica’s (NCOJ) 2023 concert, which thrilled attendees at the Hope United Church in St Andrew on Sunday. It nearly didn’t happen because of the recent flooding and strong rainfall the island has been experiencing.
Following the matinée concert at 4 p.m., PCOJ conductor Winston Ewart told The Gleaner in a conversation that “up until Friday (of last weekend), people were saying we should cancel.” However, Ewart advocated against a postponement and, thankfully, won because of the challenges that rescheduling the location and performers would have undoubtedly presented.
