The voice was contralto and emanated from the human spirit. It was spiritual as well as poetic and stately, bringing forth ardent feelings of piety and love. Marilyn Bryce-McDonald gave us a gift in life, and now she has left us a priceless collection of timeless memories of her inspirational and beautiful voice.

With a melody in her heart and a smile in her eyes for her daughter, Christine, an umbilical voice of the chorale, Marilyn, an earthly friend of the National Chorale of Jamaica, is now resting peacefully in the heavens. In May 2019, we honoured her with our Medal of Excellence.

The National Chorale of Jamaica pays tribute to a departed pilgrim, heads bowed in reverence.
